Lead, Full Stack SW Developer

Seeking a Lead Full Stack Software Developer to support our customers migration effort on a frontend, customer engagement portal. As the Lead Software Developer, you would directly advise and would perform complex analysis, design, development, automated unit and integrated testing, and debugging of computer software. Your team is a dedicated pod that designs, codes, tests, develops, and documents application programs for computer systems. Your team works with end-users and project stakeholders to define system scope and objectives. Successful performance in this role means the effective and efficient delivery of modifications to and execution of maintenance for operational programs and procedures. As Lead, you would mentor the junior members of the pod and serve as the subject matter expert on the software solution.

Lead a team of software developers (2+) in the design, development, and implementation of multiple applications. Performs and leads the detail technical design, coding, code review and testing of new applications and enhancements of existing applications. Serves as a subject matter expert for specified systems and their subsequent applications. Develop and/or analyze interface design documentation. Comply with hardware and software systems standards and procedures. Deliver large systems for tens of thousands of users.

This position is a contract opportunity with the potential of extensions and/or conversion to FTE status. Although primarily remote, the selected candidate will have to go to our customers Owings Mills, MD office 2x per month. We are seeking candidates that reside in one of the following states: DC, MD, VA, PA, WV or DE.

Required Skills

-Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
-7+ years of Software Development experience, with the last 3 years as a Team Lead.
-Required Technology Stack: Java, Spring Boot, Angular v2+, basic Microsoft Azure knowledge, some architecture knowledge. (70/30 Frontend vs. Backend activities), Scrum/Agile Framework.
- Must be a hands-on Lead Software Developer (50% hands on / 50% team lead)
-Scalability is very important! Ability to describe prior scalability products/projects is critically important to this application
-Works closely with Architects, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Value Stream Managers to provide insight into delivering business value and meeting objectives.
-Decomposes functional and technical requirements into project activities and tasks and provides conceptual design, prototype, and test cycles appropriate to a chosen technical solution.
-Identifies technical risks and develops mitigation strategies; introduces and recommends industry best practices and standards for the project.
-Evaluates and assists in the selection and procurement of hardware and software technologies and serves as a mentor for junior developers.
-Works with stakeholders as well as technical and analytical counterparts to define constraints and develop requirements and concept of operations documentation.
-Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
